About Entheon Village:

Entheon, meaning “a place to discover the spirit within,” is an effort to promote sustainable cultural re-evolution that heals relationships between the people of the earth and our planet. The mission of Entheon is to demonstrate a future in which sustainability, ecological responsibility, environmental stewardship, and meditative and mystical consciousness are a welcomed and integrated part of society, and where art, spirituality and creativity is central to that vision.  Entheon will be a grounded gathering place offering an intellectual, therapeutic, artistic and creative cornucopia of interactive opportunities.  Lectures, workshops, renewable energy demonstrations, visionary art, zen meditation in a zendo, holotropic breathwork sessions, and performance come together in the spirit of celebration to co-create our shared vision of global healing and a broader awareness of ecological responsibility.

Entheon will be a showcase for ecological best methods and renewable power.  Our kitchen will serve locally farmed organic produce, all water will be procured locally, we will have solar thermal showers, a very large photovoltaic power installation with an artistic UFO solar saucer, a wind generator atop a 45' dome, a biodiesel cogen unit and a gasifier - all tied together to our camp's electric grid.

Behind the public interactive spaces, a community of about 250 campers will live and eat together. Provided with sites for rest and reflection, members of Entheon will experience nourishing, private moments to rejuvenate and enable them to offer a constant flow of interactive experiences to the Burning Man community.

About Evolutionary Center:

The Evolutionary Center is a theme camp that has emerged out of the Greening Burning Man movement, which is focused around creating a more sustainable Black Rock City culture. The camp community provides workshops, leadership, resources and tools to educate and inspire Black Rock City citizens to live more softly on the Earth, both on the playa and off, and collaborate with other "green camps" to unify the mission of greening Burning Man. Through this work in a village microcosm, we seek to form successful models and community structures that can help to initiate more sustainable development on a planetary scale.

This year at Burning Man we had quite a success! We were listed as a model camp on the LNT Tour (Leave No Trace) organized by the Earth Guardians. We were green from start to finish, and invite you to take a look at the DPW’s MOOP Map (matter out of place) and see that the whole area around us was green as well from our extra efforts of cleaning up the playa. We continued that effort by greening BM Decompression events in LA, SF, and beyond creating a template for regionals to build off of (see LA green page here).

The Burn Clean Project provided lighting for the man base this year, they got bio-diesel onto the playa- many camps, the man base, the staff commissary, and the greeters station all running on bio-diesel generators. They are an excellent team filled with resources on how to go green on the playa, check out their website for more info: www.Burncleanproject.org

Please take a look at pictures from this last year for a glimpse of what we created, however it really takes being on the playa to get the full experience and pleasure of this creation. We also participated in the Toxic Avengers, stopping carpets, plastics, and more from being burned - and helping BM recycle 16 tons of wood from this festival that went to Habitat for Humanity - a program led by Burners with out Boarders. We held an amazing Gathering Of the Tribes, Culture Lab in our Green resources dome, led by Sobey and Kachina Katrina. Click here for our notes and contacts from that meeting

We are a nexus, meeting point for Evolutionaries… many of the campers at Evolutionary Center are center points of major networks; people dedicated to developing connections and establishing communication to aid in Global Transformation. Joining our community will help you to build your own network, and learn more about how you can help make a transition to a more harmonic sustainable infrastructure in your local area.
The Evolutionary Center and this website ( ) is completely powered through alternative energy technologies like Solar, and a bio-diesel generator for our sustainable kitchen, Divine Nourishment - led by Benjamin Haffner, inducing educational purposes. The Earth Guardians asked Benjamin to do a template on how to create a sustainable kitchen from this year’s success! With this all-organic kitchen we use a community water system with 55 gallon stainless steel drums for safe water retention and for minimal plastics use, and plan to compost or recycle almost 100% of our waste products. We invite creations that reuse commonly disposed materials, educate about sustainable living, and express our desire and dedication to heal Planet Earth.

Please explore our Accommodations section for more information if you are thinking about joining the Evolutionary Center theme camp. We are in process of organizing for this next year, after a wonderful first year. The Project Development Wiki is setup and growing, so visit this community board for recent developments, and suggestions for next year. Also, see the Evolutionary Center Map that is a sketch of what we looked like last year, this year is under development, and shows the communities central to development of the camp.

Burn Clean Project officially presents…

BIOBUS (space) SHUTTLE 2007
with your lovely pilot Peter, The German Guy

Meet new lifelong friends on the BIOBUS (space) SHUTTLE to Black Rock City. You will be scooped up at Reno International and whisked to Wild Oats for a quick grocery run and then on to the playa!!! This is the first in a pilot program to lessen our cumulative impact of travel to the greatest city on Mama Earth. If you still haven't bought your BM ticket and plan to ride the BIOBUS, then please get your tickets shipped to you and carry them by hand, to help the BIOBUS avoid long waits at Will Call.

A $55-$65 (your call) donation to Burn Clean Project will reserve a One Way ride to or from the playa, helping you to avoid burning petroleum, the cost of a car rental, and the worst part of all—scrubbing the rental car thoroughly enough so they don't charge you a playa-sized cleaning fee!

Check www.burncleanproject.org for seat availability!
